The Isle of Wight Festival is back and rocking

The legendary Isle of Wight Music Festival returns this June for the first time since 1970, with a two-week celebration of all things musical.

With thousands of visitors expected, the festival kicks off on 03 June, with a major outdoor rock concert, Rock Island, at Seaclose Park, Newport, featuring top acts such as ex Led Zeppelin front man Robert Plant, The Charlatans, Starsailor and Ash, plus local bands. This is then followed by two weeks of music from all genres at venues around the Island, including reggae, world, blues, jazz, folk, samba, opera and funk.

Red Funnel has all-inclusive day trip packages to Rock Island, starting from £51.40 per person, including concert ticket, return foot passenger travel from Southampton to East Cowes and return bus transfer from the East Cowes ferry terminal to Seaclose Park. (Ferry ticket is valid for 90 days and supplements may be applicable on certain dates). Red Funnel can also arrange camping and other accommodation at extra cost.

Red Funnel has launched a special Music Festival website with online booking at www.redfunnel.co.uk/music or please call the Red Funnel Travel Centre on 0870 444 8898. (Please note phone bookings incur a £1 per person surcharge.)

Rock Island’s organisers are recommending that festival-goers book ferry travel and accommodation as soon as possible to ensure they are able to travel over on the day. Red Funnel will be laying on extra services over the festival period to cope with the anticipated demand.
