Steam Coffee Company opens at The Arcade, Cowes

Red Funnel’s Steam Coffee Company brand has opened its first shore based coffee shop at 8 The Arcade in Cowes. First launched on Red Funnel’s vehicle ferries in June 2006, the Steam Coffee Company has been a big hit with customers and sales have exceeded all expectations.

The new Cowes coffee shop, follows the brand’s contemporary design with both indoor and outdoor seating, serving a range of premium coffees made from the finest roasted beans and a selection of tasty panini’s, fresh sandwiches, indulgent cakes and delicious pastries.

The coffee shop, which will be open early till late seven days a week, will be home to the Steam Gallery, displaying a selection of paintings and photography by local artists, many of which will be available for sale.

Tom Docherty, Managing Director of Red Funnel comments; “By bringing the Steam Coffee Company ashore, we are able to offer our Red Jet Hi-Speed customers the same premium quality coffee enjoyed by customers using our Southampton-East Cowes route. Members of our Island Club frequent travel scheme will also enjoy a 10% saving on all food and drink items, an offer we think will prove impossible to resist”.
