Red Funnel charters vessel to Caledonian MacBrayne

Red Funnel, the original Isle of Wight ferry operator, has announced that it will be working alongside Caledonian MacBrayne, Scotland’s biggest ferry operator in the Firth of Clyde.

Red Funnel has chartered "Ali Cat", a pleasure cruiser used in high season to Caledonian MacBrayne to carry passengers, transporting them between the Scottish towns of Gourock and Dunoon at peak commuter times.

Commenting on the announcement, Tom Docherty, Red Funnel operations director said, “We are delighted that for the first time in many years, Red Funnel will be servicing passengers beyond the Solent. Our contract with Caledonian MacBrayne was won against local competition and is testimony to our track record in providing ferry services built on reliability.”
