Red Funnel

As part of a £11m investment programme, Red Osprey (built in 1994) sailed in October 2003 to Gdansk in Poland to have a new mid-section inserted which extended her length to 93 metres. The vessel was fitted with a new high level vehicle deck (increasing capacity to over 220 cars) and the interior was refitted with a new entrance lobby, bar and cafeteria area. The ship arrived back in Southampton at the end of 2003.
