Help protect the Isle of Wight Red Squirrels
There are a number of ways that you can help protect the Isle of Wight Red Squirrels, either through making a donation when booking your ferry travel or chossing one of the options below.
Join the Bushy Tails Club!
The Bushy Tails Club is just for kids and membership includes the following;
- A story about Red Squirrels' by Helen Butler. The book is an educational story about 3 young Red Squirrels. It is based on fact and gives facts at the bottom of each page
- A 'Bushy Tail Club' badge.
- A newsletter, which includes a list of events to attend in the school holidays and at weekends.
- Membership lasts for a year. You will receive an annual newsletter free admission to one event and and half price entry to all subsequent events.
It’s really easy to join the club. Just print out and fill in the form available to download below. Then post with a £5 cheque to Mrs Jessie Booth. Members of the same family can join for £1 extra per child to cover the cost of the badge. All members in the same family must be brothers/sisters living at the same address.

‘Adopt a Red Squirrel’ has proved very popular with the Red Squirrel Trust and it makes an ideal gift for family, friends or even yourself!
You choose your donation (minimum £10) and when you adopt you'll receive a copy of ‘Red Squirrels’ by Helen Butler, a picture of your chosen squirrel and an adoption certificate.
There's four Squirrels to choose from
- Lucky
- Ginger
- Rusty
- Tufty
The adoption lasts for a year. Each time you renew your adoption, you will receive a different gift. ‘Lucky’ is currently the favourite squirrel, i guess it's in the name.
